Three cars were involved in a pile-up on South Chancery this morning as students made their way to Warren County High School.
While the picture submitted Warren County Way made the situation look intense, McMinnville Police Department Patrolman Shawn Green says it was more of a fender bender.
“It wasn’t too bad. There were three vehicles involved. These were all high school kids. There were others who pulled up on it, stopped and waited to see if their friends needed rides to school,” he stated.
Green says the first vehicle was driven by a 17-year-old female driving a 2002 Mitsubishi.
“She said traffic was backed up because a tractor trailer was pulling something. She said the car in front of her was going slow. Out of nowhere, it stopped. She had enough time to stop. The car behind her, which was the red Ford truck, rearended her.”
Driving that truck was a 16-year-old male, who was cited for following too close. His truck was rearended by a Nissan Frontier driven by a 16-year-old male, who was also cited for following too close.
