Charges pending in vehicle-related fatality
A child was fatally wounded after being struck by a vehicle.

A local man could be facing charges in an incident that resulted in a child’s death.
According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol preliminary crash report, Justin Rodriguez, 29, was backing out of a driveway on South Mill Street in a 2017 Chevrolet Tahoe when he struck a small child. Age was not provided.
The report also noted that charges are pending, that the vehicle contained two uninjured juvenile passengers, and that the vehicle-related fatality occurred on Oct. 28 at approximately 4 p.m.
